Corte Gardoni “Greoto” DOC: Custoza (Garganega/Trebbiano/Trebbianello/Cortese/Manzoni Bianco; 12%; L.19 110; KermitLynchImprts) Corte Gardoni di Piccoli Valeggio sul Mincio/Veneto 2018: color; lightly floral/carnations/perfumed talc light chalky/stony bit lemony/grapefruity rather aromatic quite attractive nose; fairly tart some lemony/grapefruity lightly floral/carnations/gardenias light stony/chalky/perfumed talc flavor; very long/lingering floral/carnations/gardenias light chalky/perfumed talc finish; not a profound white but quite a pretty white that reminds a bit of Riesling, some of Arneis. $17.00 (KK)

Weingut Carl Ehrhard Riesling Rudesheim (Pradikatswein; Kabinett; A.P.Nr. 24 033 003 19; Feinherb; 11.5%) Rudesheim/Rheingau 2018: Screwcap opens w/ a loud pop w/ lots of tiny bubbles; light gold color; pleasant R/floral/mango/pineapple slight chalky rather simple nose; rather frizzante/spritzy light R/floral/mango bit chalky/stony/perfumed talc bit off-dry rather simple flavor; med. bit spritzy pleasant R/floral/mango/pineapple bit chalky finish; a rather simple/quotidian R of little interest. $17.00 (KK)

  1. Greoto is a rather weird blend. The Trebbianello grape is also known as Sauvignonasse, also known as SauvignonVert or Friulano in Friuli. I thought it quite a pretty Italian white.
