TN: Siduri PinotGris AbreVertVnyd '14....(short/boring)

Tried this last night:

  1. Siduri PinotGris AbreVertVnyd/WillametteVlly/OR (13.5%) 2014: Light gold color; rather attractive smokey/pungent light pencilly/oak some floral/PG/spicy/nutmeg bit graham cracker interesting nose; lightly tart slight earthy bit smokey/pencilly/oak some floral/PG/spicy/nutmeg attractive flavor; very long light smokey/pencilly/Fr.oak lightly floral/PG/spicy finish; quite a pretty PG & one of the better ones from OR I can recall; reminds a bit of AltoAdige PG, a bit of Alsace PG; nothing profound but just good drinking.

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. When I first tried this wine a number of yrs ago, I thought it dull as dishwater. But it has put on weight and turned into quite a nice PG.

I hope other Berserkers realize what a rave review this is, given your general dismissal of pinot gris.

Sounds like a good wine!

Some left over. Can try it tonight.

I had one of Adam’s pinot gris at a winemaker dinner here in Vegas a while back and really enjoyed it. I wish he’d do more with whites as Brian Loring has done. Adam did a viognier off and on in the past.
