Selection Laurence Feraud Gigondas 2005
A negotiant wine from the brilliant winemaker at Domaine du Pegau …
The nose is unmistakeably from the Vaucluse, with garrigue, dark berry fruit, brambles, kirsch, a bit of “animale”, and peppercorn. A bit light in body for a Gigondas, this wine is fruit-forward with soft tannins and a minerally finish, drinking well now. While not a wine to age, it is pleasant and it epitomises the region. 88 / 100 points.

This sounds nice, Alex. Do you mind if I ask what you paid for it? I have a few St. Josephs that I love, but I haven’t found a good QPR Gigondas yet.
My thoughts exactly. Would ge good to know what you paid for it.
I picked this up at MacArthur’s in DC last autumn for ~ $18 / bottle, if memory serves me well. An absolute steal, in my opinion!

Good to see you over here at last, Alex! It’s taken you a whole day…
Thanks for the “heads up” on this site, Phil! I am trying to recruit a few fellow oenophiles to join in on the fun here.
