These were notes from my trip up to the winery this weekend.

  • 2010 Sans Liege Grenache Blanc Groundwork - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (5/14/2011)
Jasmines and apples on the nose. Sweet white flower nectar and apricots that balance out in the mouth. Drink now to 2015. (89 pts.)
  • 2009 Sans Liege Côtes-du-Coast - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (5/14/2011)
Dusty flower blossoms on the nose. Lychee and honey toast that shows intense and balanced flavors that finishes 30 seconds plus. (92 pts.)
  • 2009 Sans Liege Grenache Blanc Call to Arms - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (5/14/2011)
Dew, lemon and lime on the nose. Crisp green apple and sprite on the palate that finishes clean. Drink now (88 pts.)
  • 2009 Sans Liege Grenache Groundwork - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (5/14/2011)
Red fruits on the nose. Flavors of dark chocolate, cherries and strawberries that display balance in the mouth. Drink now thru 2018 (90 pts.)
  • 2008 Sans Liege Mourvedre The Adversary - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (5/14/2011)
Nose had a must of wet clay and blackberries. It was very tight with hints of blackberries, sage and herbs on the palate that I think will flesh out with time. Finishes with a strong toasty leather that lingers. I would give it another 2 years in the bottle. Drink 2013-2021 (91+ pnts)
  • N.V. Sans Liege The Prophetess 08/09 - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (5/14/2011)
Dusty cherries and strawberries on the nose. An elegant mocha cherry cola on the palate that will integrate into class act down the road. Finish that lasts for over 20 seconds. Drink now to 2017 (90-92 pnts)
  • 2010 Sans Liege Grenache Groundwork Rose - USA, California, Central Coast (5/14/2011)
A lighter version compared to last year. Not as sweet. Watermelon with hints of strawberries leaving a crisp feel in the mouth during the finish. Great for the summer. Drink now (88 pts.)
