TN: Pra Soave Classico 2007

Pra Soave Classico 2007:
This is a fun little white, loaded with almond flavors, white peaches, ripe green apples, honeysuckle and lemon rind. Very well balanced and subtle, not overly complex but a pleasure to drink. I do wish it was a touch more rich but hey its like twelve bucks! 88 points

Yay! A Soave fan!

I prefer Inama Soave. If you can, get your hands on one of the singel vineyard Soave Classico Superiores from Inama. If you like Oak, get the Du Lot, if you don’t, get the Foscarino–truly one of the most interesting whites I’ve had in a long time.

Big Soave fan here, too, especially Pieropan’s. His regular bottling is always good good and the single vineyards are beautiful, the Calvarino lean and minerally and the La Rocca more like a good white Burgundy.

Robert, I’ve often wondered, what wine is in the glass shown in your avatar? It’s pretty inky - or the glass was rather dirty to begin with…
