Decanted 1 hr. Enjoyed over next 2 hrs with the fam. Soaring aromatics from the first pour. Pencil shavings, eucalyptus, even some green apple. A beautiful old cedar humidor note wraps around dried cherry skin. Tannins are fine-grained and integrated. Acidity is lifted and keeps the mid-palate sailing. Finish is long, clean, and cool. Classic Togni - that is to say, reminiscent of its Bordeaux brethren, but just sun-kissed enough to place it in Napa.
My goodness. What a time to be alive.
