Wrote up the thing using cellartracker’s tasting story feature; figured I would cross post here as I have yet to really post and am interested in engaging more. I lurk primarily like most of the other younger members here :slight_smile:

Bonus: the long dessert bottle (Malavasia from Sitges) was acquired in Barcelona on a trip we took this summer; couldn’t find the wine on CT to write it down unfortunately but it was delicious (see here: Malvasia de Sitges)

First off, looks like an awesome Bday party (assuming the wines at the bottom were in the ‘special’ room for the wine geeks, ha!).

Second…you should def post more often :cheers:

Looks like a great lineup, and all the food! I hope Desi had a great time and felt celebrated.

He did! It was a lot of wine for most of them but the food was outrageous and we unfortunately out did ourselves… not sure what I will have to open for his 60th lol.

We all tried them all. I encouraged them to only do the tasting glass if they didn’t like it, I didn’t pour them more. I took home whatever went undrank (CdP, Rioja, les Carmes, 1994 Merlot, Albarino, and tokaji)
