TN: NV Laherte Frères Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature OLD UGLY LABEL

NV Laherte Frères Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature - France, Champagne (11/10/2023)
The old ugly label...no info on label that I can see...probably at least 11yrs after DG...100% Chard, no dose, 40-50% reserves juice...brilliant shiny golden, slight green tinge color...subtle nose of Krug-ish good ox...caramel apple, lemon curd, pie crust, sea air...HOLY COW in the mouth...BRIGHT and ZINGING with lemon tarts and sour apple pop rocks! Unbelievable burst of freshness... then a calm of light and delicate ginger marsala mousse coats the palate...super balance with some yeast and brioche...pretty blossom florals...slight aged nuances of dried honey, marsala creme, salted hazelnuts...but still quite youthful and in tip top shape. VERY surprised and kind of in shock with this bottle...it is amazing right now! Tells me I need to hold(and buy more) of the current pretty labelers a LOT longer. And if you see this one in the wild...don't let the ugly label fool ya! (95 points)

:smiling_face_with_tear: Unfortunately my last bottle of this decided to take the trek all the way to OX-land. Too much apple juice ox for me. But ohhhh that last bottle SO good!
