N.V. Deutz Champagne Brut Classic - France, Champagne (2/18/2011)
Purchased over 2 years ago. Notes of lemon pulp, crushed sea shells, ginger, buckwheat, and asian pear. Clean and precise on the nose with a delicate, if slightly attenuated, palate. Some of its youthful energy and gas has receded but the wine has yet to turn the corner and display any aged honey notes. A bit flat and one-dimensional at this stage. (86 pts.)
