Chardonnay 2016 North Coast:
decent color with that golden flair
throw your hair back and sniff for more classic juice
not giving it up here
looking for more go somewhere else

Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 North Coast (screw cap)
not bad with the color, light grape juice
nose is looking for more
give it some air, let it marinate
not bad, kind of like a 2nd or 3rd flight wine
pizza or hockey wine with guys

Sauvignon Blanc 2017 California (screw cap)
wow, decent light color
nose is classic NZ
grapefruit, fresh
perfect spring wine in the afternoon

I went to a tasting of these wines about a week ago. This was a normal Thursday night tasting at a local wine shop. The attendance was first or second all time for the Thursday tastings with people waiting outside to get in. I knew maybe 1-2 of the them; strictly bandwagon jumpers and not wine people. Wines were not the greatest; surprised the chard is so expensive. Foley has so many properties now that he must have a lot of excess juice to make these.

Knights fever in Vegas is sort of ridiculous, but it is the first major league team the city has had. No more rooting for the Dodgers or Lakers as “our” team. Wait until the Raiders show up; Chuckie can run for governor.
