TN: Giving some love to Bordeaux Blanc

Just recently a white Mouton (Ail d’Argent) 2015 (!) which was highly advanced.

That sounds like either premox or otherwise off or poorly kept bottle. Bar some simple, inexpensive bottlings, almost any Bdx white should keep just fine for those five-ish years without problems.

Peter,
thank you.
I have tasted Laville-HB only after release, in 2003. It was excellent and promising, but not a really top notch vintage, and I slightly preferred the Haut-Brion on the same evening.

Definitely premox, like with many others I’ve had over the years. And as it seems, others have the same experience.

I bought some 2019 of this not too long ago at a relatively inexpensive price. Never had it before. At what age would you drink it?

Gerhard…merci.

I was happy drinking my 2018s through this 2021, but I think they could age at least 5-10 years. They were quite open young. Looking at CT notes, it seems like the 2019 might need more time, but I don’t have any 2019s myself.

How about love for : Clos Floridene and Reynon ? They have not here in Quebec, Canada for many years.

I love them…and sill have a few left from vintage 2010 to 2014 in my cellar.

Umm… there was Clos Floridene there in the tasting, my tasting notes included.

Thanks for reminding me of your TNs re the 2016 Clos Floridene.

I do not remember if the 2016 was here in Quebec Canada but my last vintage for Clos Floridene was 2012.

They were not that expensive…
