Tried this last night w/ fresh strawberries:

  1. Badde Nigolosu Moscadeddu VdT Bianco da Uve Surmature (15%; http://www.TenuteDettori.It; Lotto A2006-1; 100% Moscato) Dettori/Sennori/Romangia/Sardina NV (2005?): Deep golden some brown murky/cloudy color; very intense grapey/raisened light floral/muscatty slight earthy bit alcoholic rather complex/classic passito nose; soft quite sweet intense/grapey/raisened/passito slight floral/muscatty bit earthy flavor; very long/lingering very sweet soft very raisened/grapey/passito bit earthy finish; a pretty classic passito/muscat a bit on the pricey side. $38.80 (CB)

Had the 2001 Travignoli Vin Santo del Chianti Rùfina Riserva Friday night. Not a wow wine, but well made, balanced with good viscosity. I had forgotten how fun these passitos are to drink when they are in the zone, and cheaper than yours, I think at $20 (but for a 375)?

Yup…Dettori is the producer. I was just putting what was prominently displayed on the front label.
