  1. This was the latest Delmore Syrah from his recent release that arrived at Pig+Fig two weeks ago. It also included two new Pinots as well, which were outstanding.
I’ve always liked Darren’s Syrah. This was a good/solid Delmore Syrah but I was a bit underwhelmed by it. It didn’t show the complexity, the intensity of c-c Syrah that his previous ones have. I expect it will put on weight w/ age & turn into a splendid Syrah w/ age.
The SLO Coast is one of the newer AVA’s in SLO Cnty. Some really good Syrahs/Pinots/Chards come from here. Not sure exactly which vnyds Darren used in this wine.

Just tasted a couple Darren’s Pinot Noir at Falltacular. I like all of @Darren_Delmore stuff

This phenomenal new wine is the culmination of both cool climate sites I’ve made Syrah from in Delmore history. 60% Stolo and 40% Bassi, aged in two French oak barrels and one stainless steel cask, for a tiny but mighty release of 60 cases.
