Deep gold color. A bit different than I expected, less oxidixed, racy with noticeable VA. Nutty, Marsanne-like, utterly searing acidity. Fascinating resin tones with a faint hint of menthol. -

Doug Cook brought this. Very intriguing nose, deeply reminiscent of Gamay with a nice underpinning of gravel. Crunchy, acidic palate, strawberry and sour cherry, fantastic and somewhat unforgiving acidity definitely lends this more friendliness with food. A nice, idiosyncratic wine.
