Drinking this was expecting one thing, getting something completely different, and yet remaining completely satisfied. Quite frankly, this doesn’t drink anything like Chablis, like, not even in the same ballpark. There’s a pronounced oak influence here that I’m sure many would scoff at, but, to me, the fruit and minerals are strong enough to carry the oak. What you end up getting is a Chablis that exudes the oily perfume of top flight Chard that’s complimented by succulent pineapples and great acidity. An atypical Chablis, but great wine nonetheless. 92 pts.
