TN: 98 La Croix St Georges

  • 1998 Château La Croix St. Georges - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol (6/5/2009)
nose: silky and heady nose with tones of red fruits, red cherries, currants, bits of spices, slight hints of leather, and some bits of violets. Very perfumed that really starts to open up and reveal a real sexy side to it

taste: pure sexy medium feel that pomerols bring. Very well balanced with good tannins still, but they are in the supporting stage at this point. Silky tones of leather, dark berries, red cherries, violets, slight hints of cedar and some bits of red currants

overall: The color has gotten a slight bit lighter and comes across as young, but certainly in a drinking stage. Lovely and very sexy, this bottle came from a great cellar as there was no staining on the cork. While its very drinkable right now, this can easily go another 10-15 years and develop further (92 pts.)
