Never disappointed when we open a Desire Lines wine and frequently amazed. Took an early look at this Carignane-centric cuvee from 1890s planted, own-rooted vines.

  • 2024 Desire Lines Evangelho - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Contra Costa County (1/3/2026)
    Aromatically gorgeous. Perfectly ripe blackberries and violets. Fresh in the mouth, a mix of blue and red fruit with just a hint of savoriness on the finish along with fine tannins. A cooler, elegant version of Evangelho that is right in my wheelhouse.

I had the 2021 not long ago, and it was singing. Great site meet great winemaker.
