TN: 2023 Tiberio - Pecorino (Italy, Abruzzi, Colline Pescaresi IGT)

2023 Tiberio Pecorino - Italy, Abruzzi, Colline Pescaresi IGT (9/3/2026)
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind over 2.5 hrs. –

NOSE: tangy, with subdued fruit; pizzelle cookie; alc. is noticeable.

BODY: medium golden yellow-orange color; medium bodied.

TASTE: high acidity; canned pears and light pineapple; salinic; I like this a lot. 14% abv is not noticeable on the palate. It seems quite packed, and I’d like to see this with 10 years on it, just because I think there’s a chance it could go somewhere fun with that kind of age. Low-level excellent. Drink or Hold.

I had the 2021 this summer and wish I had more for longer aging. With a few extra years it gained some weight, texture, and more floral character.
