Quick-hitter TN here, which does not adequately capture the extent to which I liked this wine. Will likely buy again to take a more thoughtful look, and pretty easy to do that at its $35 price tag.

2022 Thymiopoulos Xinomavro Gi kai Ouranos - Greece, Macedonia, Naoussa (5/11/2025)
– decanted approx. 30 min. before initial taste –
– tasted non-blind over a couple hrs. –
– 100% Xinomavro –

Ruby color of medium depth. Cherry and balsamic aromas. Flavor features red fruits and fine oaky tannins. Medium acidity. Will likely rebuy.

I love this wine. So much more red fruit than I usually find in Xinomavro. Great contrast to Ramnista.

The few times I’ve had the wine, I’ve loved it. Have also one bottle in the cellar, might need to check it out some time in the future!

Additionally, I’m happy that we have the wine available here at around half the price! It’s a real bargain at that price point.
