2022 Château Grand Village Bordeaux Blanc - France, Bordeaux (10/3/2025)
This wine is basically Chateau Lafleur's white wine...at $35! Friggin amazing qpr! Grapes grown from the owners estate north of Fronsac, produced with all the same level of care as they do the Grand Vin. The wine is fantastic! Pineapple and white peach...crystalline, with a little green bite of maybe the slightest jalapeno or chives...the semillon adds super creamy exotics like coconut wax...crushed limestone minerality...subtle oak spice...and gorgeous florals of white/lime blossom, vanilla bean. Everything drinks in an elegant and balanced, refreshing, yet contemplating way. Couple that with the magic touch of Lafleur...this is INSANE wine for the money! I love it! (94 points)

Both Grand Village wines are absolutely crazy QPRs. We had this one two nights ago after a Les Quatre Piliers Touraine Bel Air, and though this was quieter at first by the end of the evening it was just as complex and delightful. Now everyone forget you’ve read this thread and go back to your business.
