2021 Weingut Keller Riesling Limestone - Germany, Rheinhessen (8/9/2023)
– bottle opened a couple hours before tasting on Day 1 –
– tasted non-blind over a couple days –
NOSE: moderately expressive. Lime-dominant.
BODY: significant sponti on Day 1; light yellow-green color.
TASTE: zesty acid & mineral; light gooseberry; tangy; lime; very fruity, but I don’t think this is quite feinherb level sweetness here, but we’re probably close. Less energetic on Day 1. I generally prefer a drier style, if not significantly sweeter.
