TN: 2021 T. Berkley Cabernet Franc Rosé (USA, California)

2021 T. Berkley Cabernet Franc Rosé - USA, California (4/15/2023)
I am smitten. I actually broke out my Wine Folly tasting wheel!

This is a complex rose' and should be tasted both as a fun diversion from life, as well as serious wine for contemplation.

The nose is a blend of citrus and honey with a bit of tomato leaf. On the palate, there is tart pink grapefruit and a citrusy hint of orange. There is an overarching mineral streak that keeps me coming back for more.

I enjoyed this wine with a belated Easter ham, as well as duck pate' on crackers. It was also good as a sipper.

Very enjoyable. I'd prefer the 13.5% ABV to be a hair lower, but c'est la vino. Heck, I'd prefer this en magnum as it would be a tremendous crowd pleaser. It has that Provencal feel, but the Cab Franc gives it a little something extra.

Drink now or hold for 3 to 5 years. Very glad I have 3 more to follow. (92 points)
