Just as a good as a bottle six months ago, perhaps even a little better, as the spicy oak notes were more in the background, keeping the focus on the citrus/green apple fruit and bright acidity. Very refreshing, and fleshed out just a bit as the evening went on, but always a vibrant expression of Chardonnay.

Yes, I’ve been able to get these for ~$40, which makes them good value. There’s only 10% new oak.
The location – overlooking the Pacific – is significant. The 2023 came in at only 21.9 Brix.

These are such reliably good wines. And, man, 2023 in Sonoma seems like the real deal.
