2020 Scherrer Winery Zinfandel Old and Mature Vines Scherrer Vineyard Alexander Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley (10/13/2022)
Took delivery of my futures last week and we’ve already blown through two bottles. This ‘20 is rocking good, Fred hit a veritable home run with this wine. Aromatics are great on pop-n-pour, fruit and juiciness are lively and plenty of structure. Night two (one pour left) rises to another level. Fantastic!

Thanks Brian. I’ve been going thru some 15s lately. Those still hold up overnight in 375s very well. Best value wine in CA at $26 on futures IMO.

Thanks for the note. Scherrer zins are some of my favorite wines. I always pop an OMV or Shale when I get delivery, and then wait at least a year to dig into the rest. And they age well for a very long time.

Just got a communique from Judi that they will be shipping the 2021 zins shortly.
