2019 Stirm Cabernet Pfeffer - USA, California, Central Coast, San Benito County (1/23/2021)
Very light in color. Fruit and hint of funk on nose. Palate feels like strawberry lemonade and almost sweet, despite being fully dry - so fresh and summery. Hint of stable funk, but very subtle. Low tannins, but with a juicy acidity. Lovely. I’ve had a few Cab Pfeffers from other producers and this is the lightest one, by far. In fact, I was surprised at how light the color was, as the ones I’ve had before have been much darker and more brooding. Lovely grape and worth seeking out - never had a bad one. (90 pts.)
