2019 Rivers-Marie Pinot Noir Summa Old Vines - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (1/13/2025)
Still pretty primary and grapey on a PnP...so a good decant, and the magic happens! This wine is all about the elegance...like the RC in the DRC lineup...pretty wild red berry fruits that's tarted with freshness, and exotic with floral n spice aromatics. Savory red licorice, exotic sandalwood, smoked cherrywood, dried roses...there is a little forest floor and slight stem funk...but what really makes this wine melt in your brain is the amazing seamlessness...the plush caressing velvet softness that comforts...not the biggest, or the most complex...but more of a contemplator, a deep dive into your daydream...plenty youthful pep in the step...will be Godly at 10yrs. +pts (96 points)
