• 2019 Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Vaillon Cuvée Guy Moreau - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (9/30/2023)
  This was really good. A punchy nose of smoky mineral, mint, citrus and salt. The palate is intense and loaded with preserved lemon. It is rich and precise and very long.

No mention of oak, do you think they’ve backed off on the new oak in more recent vintages?

Didn’t feel any overt use of oak on this one Alan. Not sure what their oak regime is now as opposed to in the past I’m sorry.

Had the 2017 a while back and didnt notice any overt oak.
