Sorry to say, but I havenāt tasted the 2020. I can say Iām a big fan of 2020 Bordeaux and Margaux if that helps. I see William offered a view on his post.

Iāve worked my way through a case of 2005, which was āthinā until about 18 years old, and then filled out into a lovely integrated bowl of lucious smoothedity . Went back and started buying en primeur again in 2018/19/20/21/22 and having tried the 2019 last week, am in for more if I can find it. A hidden and underappreciated gem which is doubtless not far away from silly prices

Whatās an āattractiveā price on the ā19 D-V (a wine I donāt think Iāve ever tried from any vintage)? Less than $70?
In in NZ so prices are a bit skewed, but I bought en primeur for $US54 and it is now (very limited availability) $US74

Was in a rando Total Wine and grabbed their last two bottles at $65 per, score
For a long time the 2019 Rauzan Segla was $74. Does the DV compare?

Durfortās personality these days is more idiosyncratic and out there, but I love them both.
Donāt fall for the 2019 VD thatās listed on WS at Destination Wine for $40 in Tarrytown NY. I did, bought 6 and picked it up at the store but only when I got home saw it was the second wine Les Plantes. Labels are almost identical and you have to find Les Plantes in small letters. They let me exchange (instead of refund) it the next day and got some champagne but not at the screaming deal I thought I was getting with the DV.
I ended up buying from B52 for $75. Still worth it as Iāve had it a couple time.
