TN: 2018 Ultramarine Blanc de Blancs Keefer Ranch Sonoma Coast

2018 Ultramarine Blanc de Blancs Keefer Ranch Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (11/16/2025)
Had open in fridge for an hour...very pronounced nose of yeast and artichoke water at first...intriguing, not repulsive...brought out thoughts of what people might be experiencing with 19/20's? But this ain't no flawed wine...with more air, the yeastiness stayed, the artichoke blew off...and here comes the sour tarts! Bright and zippy...really rippin the pop rocks party...grapefruit, lemon sours, crisp apple...not as vinous as others in the stable...2gl dose...very refreshing, at attention...love love the wet crushed rocks and yeast interplay. Still holding back at trying any of the "bad" bottles...and continues my happiness with popping a UM! (94 points)

Thanks, Buzz. All of the 18s have been clean for me thus far.

I opened one of these back in February and loved it.

We opened a ‘20 rosé yesterday that was absolutely flawed. I’ll probably pop another soon to see if it was a one off (hopefully).

I think this is the method I will take until they are are gone. No sense tainting the good wines over the years with bad thoughts about what it has become!
Sounds like a great bottle for us to put in deck.
