- 2018 Dönnhoff Weissburgunder trocken - Germany, Nahe (6/5/2025)
Weissburgunder/Pinot Blanc is often a bit of a throwaway. Not this wine. Some cellar time has added a level of textural richness while not sacrificing the fresh fruit (thank you screw cap). There's nearly as much depth as the outstanding Chablis 1er Cru I had the prior night, if not the level of complexity or precision. Still a very enjoyable bottle, that delivered more than almost all other (save Boxler and Hiedler) Pinot Blanc-based wines I have tried.
