TN: 2018 Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé (France, Provence, Bandol)

  • 2018 Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé - France, Provence, Bandol (4/19/2020)
First time this year that it felt like good weather for rosé, and it was also an appropriate match for our vegetarian Indian meal. Light berry, floral and orange peel aromatics led into a refreshing, citrus dominated palate. The orange peel element hung on for a very long time, offering a pleasing counterpoint to the Indian spices. Lovely showing as usual for Tempier.

Drank and enjoyed some in February and, yes, as usual … for Tempier.

One of the most consistent wines in the world … each and every vintage. I’ve never had a meh bottle. Always very good, usually great.

Haters gonna hate about the price but in a world of crapshoot wines this always delivers. At least to my taste.

Agree, it is just so reliable in its excellence, much more than a simple porch sipper if your brain wishes to engage in that conversation.

I’ve just started laying 3 down each vintage for the long haul.
