TN: 2018 Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie (France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie)

Guess you also tasted the 2016 young? How do they compare? I loved the 2016 young!

The 2016 is the best young Jamet since 2010. I haven’t tasted the 2013 though, but I don’t expect it to be a contender.

This thread inspired us to give the 2018 Jamet a whirl and it absolutely delivered the goods

2018 Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie
Cool dark fruit with great lift, that familiar briney, olivey note, a welcome touch of meatiness; not nearly as broad and showy as the Grange alongside but rather quietly complete and seamless with zero heat; by far the best of the 2018 N Rhones I’ve had to date - Gonon, Faury, Mickael Bourg, JM Stephan, Levet; happy to have more tucked away for the long haul; very good minus
