Popped this go with some carbonara I made last night. It was a good match. Nice wine.

  • 2018 Bartolo Mascarello Dolcetto d’Alba - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba (1/24/2021)
    Opened 30mins before first glass. Took some coaxing to reveal a inviting nose of cherry, floral notes, and a hint of bbq meat. Dry, crunchy red fruit on the palate. It has a wispy and silky palate that finishes dry. Pops with food and was a good match with carbonara. Still youthful. Last glass was best glass. Just right tasty.

Nice! Reads like it was pretty elegant. I’ve had some vintages that were really dark and dense! And you can’t go wrong with carbonara.
