2018 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Que Syrah Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (3/8/2023)
12.7% abv. Dark ruby, rich aromatics. Smoked meat, black olive, black pepper, cassis and a touch of floral overtones. Bright, deep and long, flavors seemingly leap out of the glass. Great intensity and focus. Tremendous now and over the next decade or more. Quite a remarkable cool-climate Syrah - the best Syrah I've had from anywhere in a long time. (97 points)

Now I’m excited about the two new releases!
Thanks for the awesome note. Besides the sites, what are the main differences between Que and Clary Ranch syrahs?

Loved this ‘18 as well, it was really eye opening. Does it taste like Rhône ? No, but that doesn’t matter in the slightest. This is the wine I’d open with the best brisket / bbq available in my city.
Clary vs. Que syrah. Clary is more marked by its cool climate nature. The wine is not as generous in fruit. A more savory wine. Que Syrah is a far less subtle wine.

Thanks! I’ve enjoyed Que before, but never tried Clary. Although, Clary seems to be the one I should look forgiven my preference for savoriness.
