  • 2017 Domaine Jean-Marc / Thomas Bouley Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pommard 1er Cru (7/26/2026)
    Started with but a whiff of violets and some earth. Really got going with air and showed an intense core of cherry fruit. There are notes of bitter chocolate and a real stony base. It is deep and powerful but light on its feet. There's great balance, proportion and expansion. An exceptional 2017.

Thanks mate. Mopped up a few Bouley 17s after @William_Kelley gave them a good rap on the board a number of years ago.

He was quite generous with this board, so much as telling folks here to “make hay while the sun is out” or something like that.
