2017 Domaine Glantenay Volnay 1er Cru Le Ronceret
Opened by a friend. Not decanted. Paired with a potato, ramp (sourced from my friend’s property) and bacon soup. Made from 50 year old vines. 35% new oak. Only 7 days maceration. Solid ruby color. This was well balanced with cherry, black currant and meaty notes. Richly textured. Medium bodied with firmer tannins. 92 points.
