Because super-influencer @CFu says Burgundy can be enjoyed young now (thanks, global warming!) I had ‘young’ Burgundy on my mind tonight. This wine presents a darker fruit profile than I’d expect, more blue-fruited, blackberry along with the raspberry and strawberry I’d more expect. I really like the space it is in now as it is still developing but delivers such enjoyment - bright on the palate, nice acidity that carries that blackberry quality from the nose, really nice, crunchy fruit, decent finish - a tremendous value around $35-40 - enjoy now but this has the guts to go a few years as well. Nice to visit it before it (likely) shuts down.
