TN: 2017 Division Winemaking Company Beton (USA, Oregon)

2017 Division Winemaking Company Beton - USA, Oregon (11/9/2018)
Looking for a refreshing, flavorful red wine that echoes the Loire while also capturing a little extra new world sunshine? This is the wine. A blend focused on Cabernet Franc (65%), that also contains Gamay, Cot/Malebc, and a small splash (5%) of Pinot Noir, the Division Villages Beton shows cranberry and cherry fruit, with some of that characteristic leafiness that shows up in Loire Cab Franc wines. It’s still quite young, and sorting itself out a bit, but there’s hints of tobacco, and just enough supporting structure for a little bit of aging. I have had this Division blend a couple of times now, and been impressed with the homage to the old world that they have managed in their new world location.

Loire red drinkers - find and try a bottle of this wine.

I’ve had a few of the Division wines and enjoyed all of them. Right up my alley.
