This is just the perfect wine for pizza with good spicy pepperoni. Rich on the palate without being flabby, really solid acid levels and a hint of tannin, fruit in the red/blue spectrum, and a very peppery nose. Long clean finish that kind of reminds me of a Briceland zin only with more grip from the tannin note (not that it has all that much tannin, it’s just that zin is generally so devoid of tannin).
Really fantastic wine for the price tag – circa $20.
