2017 Arnot-Roberts Syrah - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (5/16/2021)
12.7% abv. Dark ruby, very aromatic. On the palate, ripe plum, black olive, hints of coffee, white pepper and a nice finishing floral element. Bright, energetic, deep and long. From Sonoma Coast vineyards including Clary and Que Syrah, this is a delicious Syrah that is approachable now with the potential for further improvement. (94 pts.)

Damn Mike that sounds great, thanks for sharing the check in.
Robert, if you are not familiar with A-R, I highly recommend it. The low alc, traditional, savory, cool-climate Syrahs, I think, are very much in your wheelhouse. Que Syrah Vineyard is especially good. If you are interested in great Santa Cruz Mt. Cab without the American Oak, their Fellom Ranch fits the bill (as does Mount Eden Estate).
The A-R boys know their stuff.
I am, Mike, but like Edmund St John, I always forget to buy it. Remedying that tonight!
