    14.4% abv. Dark ruby, expressive aromas. On the palate, cherry, raspberry, a little sage and mint. Very deep, rich, poised and concentrated. Layered fruit, really nicely delineated. Absolutely beautiful and delicious Zinfandel. Wonderful now and will no doubt continue to improve. Maybe the best Lemorel since the great '07? (95 pts.)

Thanks Mike. I’ve not had their zins, but quite enjoy their Syrahs and Pinots - fairly restrained, classic, and not mentioned very often here on WB. Will have to find a Lemorel soon.

Mike, that is a great note. After being on the mailing list for many years, I finally had an opportunity to taste at the winery in February. I only purchased their Pinots in the past, but they asked if I would like to try the Syrah and this Zinfandel. The Dusty Lane Syrah was outstanding as was the Zin. I ended up buying a couple of bottles of each and left some at my son’s house in Sebastopol to share with him when I visited again this summer. At the time, it sounded like a good plan.

Day 2 - this gem is every bit as delicious as day 1. Even more perfumed and delicious, if anything.
