I found this wine pretty uninviting A few months ago, like you on the first day. I don’t even think it budged much on the second day. I’m confident that everything’s there for it to be great in time, but I won’t open another one for quite a while. The 2013 has been drinking well all along. I went heavy on that to avoid the temptation of opening my 2010s, Which also seemed like they needed a lot of time on release.
Edit: I mistakenly thought we were talking about the Riserva.
Very interesting, and not my experience at all with this wine, although I haven’t tried a bottle since June. But I have had it four times since May of ‘19, and on two of those occasions actually mentioned that I felt this could be the best Felisina CC ever, so I certainly didn’t find the wine unyielding?
