TN: 2016 Domaine Michel Gros Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Clos des Réas

  • 2016 Domaine Michel Gros Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Clos des Réas - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru (3/10/2024)
Pours a dark crimson. Intriguing nose, dark berries, oak, cinnamon stick, fresh turned soil, pine needle, white pepper. Sweet black cherries, cola, Chinese Five Spice, oak with fabulous depth and precision. Ample acidity expands the palate pulling in the chewy tannins. Beautifully balanced, well structured for a long cellaring but absolutely delicious right now. Wow!

I just received my 6 pack from BD15 this weekend. I was debating on laying them down or popping a few. 2019,2020

The ‘16 is open, note was from day 2 as we ordered it off the wine list with dinner last night and gad 1/2 bottle left… Did you purchase multiples? Maybe give the ‘19 some air. It’s got huge upside.

I have 2 of each. Will likely pop one in the next few weeks and give it a lot of air.
