TN: 2016 Domaine François Cotat Sancerre Les Culs de Beaujeu

2016 Domaine François Cotat Sancerre Les Culs de Beaujeu - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre (5/7/2024)
Humming along nicely! Gorgeous nose of lemon blossoms, chive, melon, slight petrol, crushed rocks, sea air...again, broken record, SO pure and crystalline rainwater...bright and puckering citrus...tension and cut for days...has that lemongrass and quince paste exotics...crushed rock and limestone chalk minerality...just love the salt to sweet interplay...although really bone dry. Has the slightest dry martini and white pepper spice kick...beems the brightest of florals and sunshine...I just get so giddy when I drink them! LOVE IT! (95 points)

Great note!
I’m so torn about enjoying now vs later.
I know I know - the answer is both.

Yeah I just had the 2008 of this as well, and it was drinking SO amazing fresh and “Vatan-esk”! Definitely need to buy bunches so you can enjoy it in its youth, and with some age! Would love to see one with like 30+ on it?
