2015 Tony Bornard Vin de France - France, Vin de France (31/05/2021)
Too many cuvees here I can’t be sure which this is. Anyway it’s really spritzy, shaken in the decanter it soon passed. Bursts with sour green and yellow Chardonnay fruit, tangy fresh, complex and long.
That looks like a Bornard bottle, not Tony Bornard bottle.
Sure, Tony Bornard is now taking the reins of his father’s domaine. However, the wines bottled under his own name have different, more colorful labels. Philippe Bornard / Domaine Bornard bottles are the ones that feature the fox.
So either you or CT has this bottle wrong.
Yes I said that.
CT is sketchy on this producer/s and I’m not going to be the one to sort it out.
Ah ok, didn’t understand your comment was a reference to that thing.
But yes, checking out CT, it seems somebody has just added a wine under the wrong producer (and it didn’t help that for some time Philippe Bornard and Tony Bornard were merged as one single producer under Tony Bornard name).
The multiple cuvees that seem to change frequently and the VdF / NV aspect doesn’t help. But again. Not a problem I want to solve.
The wine in the picture is very good.
Yeah, and Bornard is definitely not the only producer causing such trouble!
The wine in the picture is very good. >
At the end of the day, that’s what matters.
Errors on CT, for example for : Mosel-Saar-Ruwer Von Hövel Scharzhofberger auslese * 2007.
Bornard … Beau renard (phonetically) … nice fox !
They are so hard to find here. Such a shame.
