TN: 2015 Peter Lauer Ayler Riesling Senior Faß 6 (Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer)

My initial impression is that this is one greatest trocken bis feinherb wines I have ever tasted. It has the very best combination of sweetish and dryish with Saar graffitied all ofer it. Lime, lime powder, lime peel, crisp searing acidity, slate and limestone, bittersweet, aromatic herbs, fresh turned slaty soil, and yes, a hint of salty breeze. How can a wine be so crisp, yet so full or filling at the same time? At two years old it is easily a quintessential power without weight wine! The aftertaste lingers forever. This is such a great wine! (96 pts.)

Killer note. Year after year, this is one of my wife’s favorite Kabinetts. A totally stoopid value.

I grabbed either the 13 or 14 from b21 on sale at $20.

It’s crazy right, it’s like drinking for free! I know we talked during the hurricane and I said I wasn’t in a wine mood. I didnt drink a single bottle. It was mostly beer and Herredura Reserva on the rocks. This was the first bottle since a day or two before the storm, and man did I enjoy it!

Nice note so thanks.
