TN: 2015 Lioco Pinot Noir Saveria

I don’t see this producer discussed much here, thought I’d share. Objectively, my score might be a touch high, but personally this is right in my style wheelhouse for Pinot.

2015 Lioco Pinot Noir Saveria - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (11/6/2018)
Good stuff here! Wild herbs leading the way - mint, sagebrush, high alpine forest floor. Cherries, underripe blueberry and strawberry, citrus inflection. As it opens up, red fruit, red apple and pomegranate take to the forefront. Tannin and acid frame this complex structure, but don’t get in the way of drinkability today. There’s a tension here. Low alc, loving the complexity! (93 pts.)

Nice to see a Lioco tasting note. I haven’t had this but have enjoyed a lot of their wines …I’ll look for a chance to try this.
