TN: 2015 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc Te Koko

2015 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc Te Koko

My 2nd and last bottle. Cloudy Bay has been making this more full-bodied style of Sauvignon Blanc since 2000. This is a blend of four of their Sauvignon Blanc vineyards located within the Rapaura and Renwick sub-regions. I’ve previously had the 2001 and 2006. 8% of this wine was aged in oak and about 33% went through malolactic fermentation. A yellow green color. This has put on some weight since I last had it 4 years ago. This was showing some oak on the nose. An herbal and lemongrass profile with a richer and lush finish. Moderate acidity. Not your typical NZSB. 94 points.

Thanks for the note! I’ve never had this with any age. It’s very impressive young. Maybe I’ll hold a few bottles.
