This is probably the 6th or so split of 15 beaucastel I’ve had. Each have been delicious.
Dark purple in the Grassl Cru glass.
Lovely bouquet of black currants, violets, and some garrique on the nose. Fine tannins. Surprisingly open, at least for now. Generous, with plenty of fruit, but not over the top. Alcohol is not overly noticeable. Long finish. Consistently probably my favorite southern Rhône.
