2014 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru (11/14/2024)
Almost through my case of these...this bottle still possesses that pureness crystalline orchard fruits...creamy and layered with a touch of vanilla oak barrel spice...bright and chiseled lemon/lime squeeze...white flowers...the classic chalky limestone minerality giving it wonderful texture and salinity...BUT...this bottle doesn't have that embalming type reduction you typically see in his wines...and therefore showing a slight cream sherry and some white mushroom in this one. Not off putting...more of an integrated complexity...but the downside might be quicker with this bottle. Still a lovely drink...and perfect accompaniment to the meal. (93 points)
